Biking tour along the Elbe
You want to enjoy the river Elbe by bike? You want to take a different look on the surroundings of Dresden? Then we just have the right thing for you: our bicycle tour on Saturday, 1st June 2013! The bicycle tour starts at 9.30 a.m. near the main station and goes alongside the Elbe to Pirna, crossing castles, the Elbe meadow, the bridge "Blue Wonder" and the television tower. In Pirna we make a small brake to eat some tasty ice cream and enjoy the old city. Then we chance the other side of the Elbe to ride to Pratzschwitz .Right there is a swimming lake. But we have to mention, that it is a mixed swimming lake which means that you can swim with or without swimming suits. There is also a small snack bar where you can buy something to eat or drink. From Pratzschwitz we go to Pillnitz. Since the bicycle lane ends in Pillnitz we take the ferry to cross the river and ride back to start point, the main station.
The route is about 40 km and is very flat without big hills.
